The Epson WorkForce Business C8610 inkjet printer is designed for workgroups, so it is ideal for helping to limit the hidden employee costs that are associated with centralised printing. It also enables users to produce a wider range of options for A3 documents including booklets, worksheets for classrooms, brochure drafts and Excel spreadsheets, as well as delivering A4 documents speedily and efficiently. There is next to no warm-up time, so documents are delivered with a fast first page out time (FPOT) of 5.5 seconds, and it can print up to 5,800 pages in monochrome and 4,600 in colour before changing supplies due to its large ink cartridges. A wide range of media can be used to print on, including labels, envelopes and recycled paper.

Design

Its smartphone-inspired touchscreen and user interface mean the Epson C8610 printer model is easy to operate intuitively. Its dimensions are 75.5 x 61.3 x 49.3cm (width x depth x height), and it weighs 45.8kg.

Advantages

The C8610 WorkForce Business model can help businesses keep electricity bills low while also reducing environmental impact and improving corporate social responsibility (CSR). This model also lowers running costs with its innovative ink supply system, which means that consumables need to be replaced less, thus reducing employee time spent changing them. Its simple and effective inkjet mechanism also needs fewer replacement parts. Companies will also benefit from the low power consumption due to the no-heat technology of inkjet printing, plus it produces no ozone emissions. The range of software and tools used to facilitate efficient scanning and secure print options, and NFC and wireless connectivity enables printing from mobile devices.

Disadvantages

The Epson C8610 is a business printer aimed at medium-sized organisations and designed for workgroups, so it is not necessarily the best option for companies that have high volume printing needs.
