HP Deskjet 320 Printer Review

Expert review of the HP Deskjet 320 printer

Our Verdict:
star
star-filled

The HP Deskjet 320 printer is a great all-round product designed to produce crisp, clear prints efficiently and effectively. It has a user-friendly parallel computer connection enabling operators to print out digital records speedily and has a steady print speed per minute which makes it simple to produce letters, illustrations and documents. It supports a wide range of computer operating systems including Microsoft Windows 3.X, Microsoft DOS, Apple Mac OS 6, Microsoft Windows NT and IBM OS/2.

Design

With a practical shape, designed to take up little desk space, the HP Deskjet 320 has dimensions of 13 x 9.6 x 3.2 inches and weighs 7.5lbs. It produces up to 3 ppm for black draft and up to 2 ppm for black normal, with 7 ppm for colour. The approximate duty cycle is 500 pages, and it has a media capacity of 100 sheets to a maximum size of A4.

Advantages

Reliable, robust and compact, the HP Deskjet 320 has excellent colour printing capability utilising its advanced inkjet technology, with easy to change settings which enable offices to optimise output to their own needs. This model allows users to print on plain paper, labels and transparencies with clarity and definition, enabling workplaces and home offices to offer professional letters, illustrations and much more. Despite its size, it is flexible enough to provide users with a wide variety of printing options.

Disadvantages

The HP Deskjet 320 is able to produce good quality output but is does not offer high printing speeds or a particularly high duty cycle, so is probably not the best choice for an office with high volume printing needs. It is not the most up to date of the Deskjet range, so it comes with all the issues you would associate with older models.
