Heralded as the world’s smallest all-in-one printer, the HP Deskjet 3720 boasts excellent print quality, as well as standalone copying and scanning capabilities. Incorporating a scroll feed scanner and digital copier, this ultra-compact machine uses Inkjet technology to create dazzling images and professional documents. Operated via wired connectivity or Wi-Fi, the printer is ideal for homes and small offices due to its small stature.

Design

Measuring approximately 142 x 403 x 177mm and weighing 2.33kg, the HP Deskjet 3720 can be connected via high-speed 2.0 USB or wirelessly through Wi-Fi and Apple AirPrint and is designed to be used with the HP ePrint app. The printer features an Icon LCD display, manual double-sided printing and a quiet mode, as well as a scroll feed scanner, a tray capacity of 60 sheets and duty cycle of 1,000 pages per month and the ability to scan to email via its app.

Advantages

Designed to be compact and visually exciting, the HP Deskjet 3720 will fit seamlessly into just about any home office space. In addition to its size, the printer features excellent print, copy and scan resolutions, with photo lab-quality images and documents produced quickly and efficiently. This all-in-one machine prints with a maximum resolution of 4800x1200 dpi and scans documents at a maximum resolution of 1200x1200 dpi. Up to 10 ppm can be printed in monochrome, or 8 ppm in colour and the scanner operates at a speed of 15 seconds per A4 page. The HP Deskjet 3720’s quiet mode means that documents can be printed from any room in the home with minimal disruption to other occupants.

Disadvantages

While the printer does have many shining qualities, its inability to print on both sides of a page without manual intervention is a flaw and the scanner is somewhat tricky to master the first few times it’s used. In addition, the scanner can only replicate one page at a time, reducing its speed and efficiency.
