The HP Officejet 200 is a truly portable printer that can be used anywhere, from the bedroom to the boardroom, the car, the office and anywhere in between. It would be a great printer for anyone who moves around a lot or travels for work, or even for students travelling between home and university. Its compact design means it can fit anywhere and its light weight means it can travel easily.

Design

The HP Officejet 200 mobile measures 69 x 186 x 364mm when in travel mode, and 214 x 260 x 364mm when in use as a printer. Weighing in at just 2.1kg its weight makes it perfect for anyone moving around, while its sleek, simple design and matte black finish means it goes with just about anything. It has a 2-inch monographic display screen which is incredibly easy to use.

Advantages

The main advantages to this printer are its portability and connectivity. You don’t even need a router to print wirelessly with the HP Officejet 200; just use any Wi-Fi connection and you can print direct from your laptop, tablet, smartphone or desktop. Alternatively, simply use its USB port for wired printing. Use on the road with the printer’s battery pack, and charge when back at home, in the car or in the hotel by charging for 90 minutes while the printer is off and you’ll be on your way again. The printer promises a printing speed of 9ppm, which is impressive for a printer of its size and produces print resolutions of 4800 x 1200 dpi.

Disadvantages

This is a simple machine and as such isn’t the best option for anyone with high yield printing needs. While the HP Officejet 200 could certainly keep up with the needs of a business traveller, or perhaps a student, if you’re not specifically in the market for a portable printer then you’re better off looking elsewhere.
