HP PSC 700 Printer Review
Expert review of the HP PSC 700 printer
The HP PSC 700 series consists of all-in-one printers that offer the versatility of a colour copier and scanner in one reliable device. They print at decent speed rates of 11 ppm in black and white and 8.5 ppm in colour. Models from the HP PSC 700 range can also function as stand-alone copiers, making them a good choice for offices or households that do more copying than printing. This series, however, does not offer fax capabilities.
Design
Measuring about 17.8x14.1x10.7 inches, HP PSC 700 devices are compact, making them a great fit for limited spaces. They are built for heavy duty work, boasting monthly duty cycles of up to 2000 pages. Printers in the HP PSC 700 series also feature flat bed scanners that double as copiers. To the right of the top panel is the control bay from which users can manage stand-alone tasks.
Advantages
The HP PSC 700 is a good addition to any home or office setting. They can produce a maximum resolution of up to 2400x1200 dpi, which is ideal for colour graphics and photo prints. Even 3D images look great when printed with the HP PSC 700. HP PSC700 series machines can print at decent rates, and connect via standard USB interface. The ink cartridges can produce as much as 600 pages before needing replacement.
Disadvantages
Among the major disadvantages of owning a printer from the HP PSC 700 line is lack of fax capabilities, which can be a big issue for offices that are very reliant on this technology. A HP PSC-700 all-in-one printer also lacks media card slots, but allows standalone copy functions.
