The HP Smart Tank Plus 655 is an all-in-one printer offering copy, scan and fax functions, too. Producing crisp, sharp text ideal for providing high-quality graphics for prints and documents, it makes it easy to print fade resistant, long-lasting photographs, create flyers, borderless brochures, photos and much more. The integrated tank design and automatic ink sensor mean that it is simple to monitor and maintain ink levels, and the spill-free resealable bottles facilitate easy refilling of the system.

Design

The 655 printer has dimensions of 449 x 373 x 198mm (width x depth x height) and weighs 6.9kg. It enables printing at high volumes with a low cost per page, with a speed of up to 22 pages per minute for black output and up to 16 pages per minute for colour. The first page out is as fast as 14 seconds for black and 20 seconds for colour, with the duty cycle up to 1,000 pages. The recommended monthly page volume for this printer is between 400 and 800 pages.

Advantages

The Smart Tank Plus 655 printer provides fast, reliable connections with dual band Wi-Fi, which offers the freedom to work from anywhere utilising the HP smart app where users can scan, print and copy from their phone. It’s also easy to connect smartphones and tablets directly to the printer and print without the need to access a network. It has a 100-sheet input tray and a 30-sheet output tray, and the paper types it can handle includes plain paper, glossy brochure papers, envelopes, matte brochure papers and envelopes.

Disadvantages

The HP Smart Tank Plus 655 printer is a hardworking and reliable desktop printer, but it will not provide the output capacity or flexibility for larger organisations with a heavier printing requirement.
