Kodak Hero 3.1 Printer Review
Expert review of the Kodak Hero 3.1 printer
For homes and offices with small budgets, the Kodak Hero 3.1 is an economical choice. This budget printer not only boasts a low initial cost, but cheap running costs as well. The Kodak Hero 3.1 all-in-one printer can copy, scan, and print; it has Wi-Fi and is packed with applications for easy printing from tablets and mobile phones. Though text print, copy, and scan outputs are of good quality, photo and graphics printing are not so clever.
Design
The Kodak Hero 3.1 has dimensions of 16.5 x 12.3 x 6.8 inches and weighs 11.9 lbs. This multifunction printer has easy-to-use buttons and comes with a 2.4 inch LCD display. The maximum paper capacity supported by the Hero 3.1 is 100 sheets, and the maximum resolution for photo printing is 9600 optimised dpi.
Advantages
Work groups will have no trouble using the Kodak Hero 3.1 as it supports Wi-Fi and USB connectivity. It also supports the Google Cloud Print and allows direct printing from Android and Apple devices. Printing without a computer is possible, thanks to the use of the memory card slots and the LCD display on board the Kodak 3.1 Hero. The Kodak 3.1 is cheap to run and also has a low initial cost.
Disadvantages
With its low price, the Kodak Hero 3.1 printer omits a few features like the PictBridge port for direct printing from a digital camera and USB drive. Unlike some other all-in-one printers, the Kodak Hero 3.1 does not have a fax machine as part of its set-up.
