      I think that the Lexmark cartridges are a fantastic buy I would always recommend them to anyone they give great These cartridges are fantastic the installation is so easy the price was fantastic, very good printing quality. The printer I am using at the moment is a Lexmark X 1150 and it is still going strong and I would recommend to anyone I will continue to use it for as long as I can.

  • Please advise if the X1250 is one of those printers that insists on having both a colour and a black ink cartridge in it to work or if it will function if I just get the black ink cartridge?

    Lexmark X1250 ink replacement

    As with most colour printers, the Lexmark X1250 will require that both the black and tri-colour cartridges are installed in the printer with some remaining ink in each cartridge for it to function. For further help with replacing your Lexmark X1250 ink cartridges or settings for mono printing, please refer to the manual / user guide or contact Lexmark directly for technical support.

  • I've used this printer earlier when both the cartidges were in working condition but now I want to purchase a new cartridge. I only need the black Lexmark No. 17 ink cartidge. The question is, does the X1250 printer have the capability to run or print papers with only a single cartridge?

    Black only printing with Lexmark X1250

    As the Lexmark X1250 is a colour inkjet printer it's likely that you'll need to have both the black and the tri-colour cartridges installed with some ink in them to be able to print anything. It's possible that your printer may have a setting to override this but we can't advise you on the specific functions of each individual printer. Please consult your Lexmark X1250 printer manual to see if you can print without a colour cartridge, If not, you'll have to replace the empty cartridges within your printer to resume printing.
