Ideal for office use, the Brother PT-5000 is a desktop label machine that can offer dozens of labelling options. It delivers durable labels for indoor and outdoor use. It can handle different types of label cassettes in different sizes and makes. The LCD display of the Brother P-Touch PT-5000 desktop label printer could be bigger, however.
Design
A manual cutter and a print slot is on the left side of the Brother PT-5000. Battery compartments are on the back and the Brother PT-5000 label printer also has an AC adapter slot. Its LCD display is on the right-hand side and most of its front is dominated by the QWERY keyboard. Function keys are also on the Brother P-Touch PT5000 labeller.
Advantages
This device can deliver labels with a resolution of 180dpi at 10mm / sec. The Brother PT-5000 label maker is very easy to operate and has dozens of uses in the office and even at home. It can deliver long-lasting Brother PT-5000 labels with adhesives on the back. With several tape colours and prints to choose from as well as font styles and types, labelling options are sure to be countless.
Disadvantages
The main problem of the P-Touch PT5000 labelling machine is that it’s rather outdated. There are desktop labelling machines that come in a sleeker package with more labelling options, including connectivity to a computer. The cutter of the Brother P-Touch 5000 operates manually and would be better if it was automatic. For easier operation, the Brother PT-5000 label machine can use an LCD display with preview before print function to reduce errors.
