Brother PT-8E Printer Review
Expert review of the Brother PT-8E printer
Designed for personal use, the Brother P Touch PT-8E label printer is a versatile device. This label machine delivers long-lasting and durable labels that can be used at home or in the office. The P-Touch 8E labelling printer can help organise documents and put names on office and school supplies. The user-friendly Brother PT-8E labelling machine can handle different tape widths and offers dozens of characters and symbols to choose from.
Design
The compact Brother PT-8E printer comes with a small monochrome LCD with indictors on its right side. Below the LCD is a dial that features letters, numbers, and symbols with an enter button in the middle. On the left side of the Brother PT8E label printer are function buttons for changing the font style, caps, and more. A manual cutter is integrated into the unit and a cutter lever is on the right side of the PT 8E machine.
Advantages
The compact Brother PT-8E P-Touch printer is easy to handle. This light labelling machine is easy to use and it delivers clear labels. It offers several character sizes and has a print speed of 12cps at standard size. Thanks to its printing technology, only a Brother PT-8E label cassette is needed – no need for ink or toners of any sort. To reduce changing of batteries, the Brother PT-8E label maker automatically shuts off when not in use.
Disadvantages
The main trouble with the Brother PT-8E labeller is its outdated controls. The dial is a bit hard to use for creating labels and would be better if it was an ABC or QWERTY keyboard instead.
