Designed for workgroups and SOHO users, the Brother HL-2135w is a basic monochrome laser printer that can deliver a maximum resolution of 2,400 x 600 dpi. It supports GDI emulation and is integrated with 16 MB memory. The Brother HL-2135w wireless mono laser printer is compatible with Windows, Linux, and Macintosh computers plus it comes with built-in Wi-Fi. A duplexer is not offered.

Design

The Brother HL-2135w printer comes in white and it has a 250-sheet input tray and a single-sheet manual feed slot. USB and Wi-Fi connectivity is offered and the Brother HL-2135w has a simple control panel with a function button and indicator lights. Print speed can go as fast as 20 ppm with the first page coming out in 10 seconds or less. The compact Brother HL-2135w wireless printer measures 368 x 360 x 183 mm and weighs 6.7 kg. It has a recommended monthly print volume of 250 to 1,600 sheets.

Advantages

This entry-level unit is quite cheap. Running costs are affordable, too. Users can expect professional and crisp text documents and solid images and graphics from the reliable Brother HL2135w black and white laser printer. This laser printer is easy to share in a workgroup, thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi and its compatibility to several operating systems. Replacement toner cartridges for the Brother HL2135w are fairly inexpensive.

Disadvantages

The Brother HL-2135w mono printer is ideal for small offices but may not be sufficient for more demanding working environments as it does not offer optional paper trays and has low monthly duty cycle. Automatic double-sided printing is not available. The HL-2135w is slower than some inkjets.
