The Brother MFC-L9550CDWT is a fast colour laser printer with duplexing, faxing, copying, and scanning, as well as features that can make direct printing easier and more convenient. It is designed to handle a generous amount of paperwork using a wide range of media types. However, it is expensive and lacks expansion options.

Design

The Brother MFC-L9550CDWT's 12.3cm LCD colour touch screen adds a tech-savvy touch to its understated appeal. It is powered by a Star Sapphire 400MHz processor running on 256MB of memory, with connectivity options such as high-speed USB 2.0, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi. A USB host is provided for direct printing needs. Paper is handled through a 50-sheet universal tray, 250-sheet standard paper tray, a 50-sheet automatic document feeder, and a 500-sheet secondary paper tray. There is a 33.6Kbps fax. Overall, device weighs 31kg and measures 490mm wide, 530mm tall, and 526mm deep.

Advantages

It can print in speeds of up to 30ppm in colour and monochrome. The duplexer works with the fax, copier, and scanner. The 2400dpi print resolution of the Brother MFC-L9550CDWT can generate smooth and sharper images and documents. AirPrint and Wi-Fi direct are supported. The Brother MFC-L9550CDWT works with cloud and web services like Google Cloud Print, Google Drive, Picasa, Facebook, OneDrive, Flickr, and Evernote. It is easy to operate and manage.

Disadvantages

Comparatively expensive, the Brother MFC-L9550CDWT can price out a budget-conscious user. The memory upgrade is limited, and there are no options to further expand the paper capacity. The Brother MFC-L9550CDWT is also very heavy.
