Design

The main unit comes as a freestanding frame measuring 620mm wide, 1082mm tall, and 700mm deep. It weighs 168Kg. The Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5240i runs on 2.5GB of memory and a 18GHz processor. Ethernet is a standard network connectivity option, while other ports include high-speed USB 2.0 and a host USB 2.0.

Advantages

It is fast and comes with two-sided printing and scanning. There is a 100-sheet manual feed for more versatile media handling. The Canon IR-ADV C5240i colour office printer can be shared by a medium-sized workgroup but it won't compromise security because of HDD erase and other secure printing features. Users may print directly from a USB memory key or memory card. The maximum paper capacity of the Canon IRC5240i copier is up to 5,000 sheets. The device is easier to configure and operate because of the colour touch panel.

Disadvantages

Fax is optional for the Canon IR-C5240i colour laser printer along with many other potentially important features including the pedestal, FEI-fiery based controller, and the HDD data encryption kit. The Canon IRC5240i multifunction printer is already quite expensive to purchase, and upgrading it to include optional features such as the duplex colour image reader makes it pricier. The quality of colour prints is not that impressive for pictures and very detailed graphics.
