      Copies on my 18 year old Canon FC224S photocopier have been quite poor for some time and a decision had to be made whether to dump it, try a new genuine Canon E30 toner cartridge at almost £100 or risk a compatible one at less than half price.
      I decided to take the cheap route in case it made no difference.
      The cartridge arrived next day, was fitted easily and the quality surprised me, better than I can remember.
      How long it will last remains to be seen but so far I am more than satisfied - and indeed staggered at how good the results are.
      I do not make many copies but it could be that the toner was several years old and that was part of the problem. It could have been that I ignored the manufacturers instructions and used paper that had printing on the other side printed from a different machine.
      If I had known I would have exchanged the cartridge long ago.

      I'd been 'stretching' the existing cartridge by taking it out and giving it a good shake, so when I put the new one in, the result was amazing. My Canon FC224S is 35 years old, and with the new cartridge it worked just as well as when I first had it. It was also much cheaper than I have had to pay from other suppliers in the past. Thoroughly recommend it.

The Canon PC-921 is a simple and often overlooked item, but can it match up to the well-respected competition? Here is a brief guide and review of the Canon PC-921 personal copier printer and its finer features, something which will hopefully allow you to get a better idea of what the PC921 is actually about before you hand over your cash.

Design

The Canon PC-921 copier is nothing special to look at, but there are many benefits hidden underneath the rather plain exterior. If the truth be told, the Canon PC921 does not possess the same amount of style as many of the Photosmart printers, but in terms of actual design, it does boast a very useful user interface and wouldn't look out of place in a range of environments.

Advantages

Moving away from the Canon Personal Copier 921's rather simple exterior, there are many perks which an owner of the Canon PC-921 copier can benefit from. It may sound obvious, but the Canon PC-921 copier printer really does offer some fine results in terms of the print outs. The PC921 printer, much like rival HP printers, can churn out high quality text documents page after page; a very impressive aspect of the Canon PC921.

Disadvantages

Picking fault with the Canon PC 921 laser printer may seem a little harsh, but it's our job. Then again, there isn't really much to complain about where the Canon PC921 is concerned. If we were forced to find issue, perhaps the only let down for owners of the Canon PC-921 is the fact that it isn't much to look at, but that hardly matters when the reliability and quality of print outs are satisfactory.
