i-SENSYS MF-237w Printer Review

Expert review of the i-SENSYS MF-237w printer

Our Verdict:

Enabling users to print, copy, scan, and fax from a single machine, as well as via mobile phone and tablet device, the Canon i-SENSYS MF-237w is the perfect printer for smaller offices. Fast and reliable, it can handle 23 pages per minute and has a 100-sheet paper output, as well as environmentally conscious functions such as Eco reports and reduced power consumption modes; the Canon i-SENSYS MF-237w is a good all-rounder.

A mono laser printer, the Canon MF-237w measures 390 x 371 x 360mm, and weighs 11.4kg. Its touch screen display makes it incredibly easy to use, while the machine also features an automatic document feeder, a Super G3 Fax, USB and wireless connection, and the ability to share documents via its network. Advanced printing features include Google Cloud Printing, AirPrint, the Canon PRINT Business App, and similar Android-based print programmes. The Canon i-SENSYS MF-237w’s page print volume is 500 to 2,000 pages, and its duty cycle 15,000 pages.

Fast and reliable, the Canon i-SENSYS MF237w enables users to access printer information and a variety of jobs manually, or remotely from tablet and mobile phone devices; those in need of a quality printing job needn’t be beside the machine in order to get their work done. Accompanying professional quality printing, scanning, and copying, the Canon MF-237w boasts a fax function that creates documents at a resolution of 200 x 100 dpi, and has a 256 fax memory and 104 number speed dial. The machine’s print quality is 1200 x 1200 dpi, with a 600 x 600 dpi resolution. Taking just 6 seconds out of sleep mode to produce the first document, and with toner saver mode, this is an efficient model. Copies are created at a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi, and scanned items are replicated at a dpi of 9600 x 9600 in enhanced mode.

The Canon i-SENSYS MF-237w is fast and efficient, providing excellent print quality that can be relied upon. Its downfall lies in the fact that documents can only be produced in monochrome; small companies may wish to create projects in colour.
