Design The Canon i-SENSYS MF522x laser toner printer has dimensions of 494 x 464 x 452mm (width x depth x height), weighs approximately 20kg, and requires an installation space of at least 741 x 1,105 x 1,214mm. It is also easy to operate and has a large, intuitive colour touch screen and a processor speed of 800MHz x 2. Advantages The MF522x offers simple mobile integration with QR code and NFC function, and can also provide enhanced security and accounting with uniFLOW. There is improved control with the Universal Login Manager, and it is simple to customise workflow with the MF522x Application Library. There is an additional 550-sheet paper cassette available, and three units can be added to the main unit. As well as this, users can opt for the Send PDF Security Set, which enables companies to send encrypted PDFs and add a digital device signature to PDF files. Disadvantages The Canon MF520 is a hardworking and flexible multifunctioning printer, but it only provides black and white output, so is limited in its range of options for businesses that require a wider remit of work.
