Users who need a fast and affordable colour laser printer for document printing will appreciate the Dell C2660dn colour laser printer. It's versatile for high volume printing needs and it helps get the job done quickly. It has good paper capacity for the price and the graphics quality is better than what most laser printers can offer, but it's not the best choice for photo printing.

Design

This single-function printer has an intimidating presence with a boxy frame that weighs 25.6Kg, but it still manages to be compact for a desktop because it measures 17.3 inches wide, 14.9 inches tall and 19.1 inches deep. The standard paper feeder can handle 250 sheets while the multipurpose tray can handle 150 sheets. Connectivity is via Gigabit Ethernet and hi-speed USB 2.0. The Dell C2660dn printer is powered by a 525MHz processor and runs on 512MB of memory. There is an inconspicuous and simplified control panel on top with a small display screen.

Advantages

The Dell C2660dn A4 colour laser printer is praised for speed and excellent paper capacity (which is upgradeable to 950 sheets with an optional 550-sheet tray). Two-sided printing is automatic to help save time. There are built-in security features and support for mobile printing from Dell, Google Cloud Print and Apple Air Print. The Dell C2660dn prints graphics and text sharply and smoothly on plain paper and specialty media like coated paper, recycled paper, cardstock, and labels. An extra high capacity black Dell C2660dn toner ensures that black and white documents can be produced at a very low cost. High capacity colour cartridges are also available for the Dell C2660dn printer model.

Disadvantages

Photo quality is slightly sub-par because the resolution is limited to 600x600dpi. The C2660dn laser printer is bulky and heavy, and it can be noisy when printing. Wi-Fi is optional for the Dell C-2660dn colour printer rather than being an in-built feature which means spending more money to upgrade.
