HP LaserJet 5000 Printer Review
Expert review of the HP LaserJet 5000 printer
Designed for small to medium-sized offices, the HP LaserJet 5000 is a monochrome laser printer capable of printing 65,000 impressions every month. Designed for workgroups, the Laser jet 5000 printer can handle a wide range of media (as large as an A3 or 11 x 17 inches). This unit is network-ready and is easy to share. The HP Laser jet 5000 has low memory and paper handling capacity, however.
Design
This mono laser printer measures 485 x 375 x 482 mm. It has paper trays at the bottom, a 250-sheet tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose tray. Print speeds from the HP 5000 laser printer can go as fast as 16 ppm. The control panel is intuitive, making the HP Laser jet 5000 easy to operate.
Advantages
Users will have no trouble sharing the unit as the Laser jet 5000 is network-ready and it supports both Macintosh and Windows computers. The HP LaserJet 5000 laser printer is easy to use and install plus it delivers good quality output from greyscale graphics to text documents.
Disadvantages
For a laser printer, the HP LaserJet 5000 is rather slow at 16 ppm. It also has a very low paper handling capacity – perhaps too low to be useful to workgroups. More users will be able to share the HP Laser jet 5000 printer if it had standard Wi-Fi.
