The HP LaserJet 9050dnm is a mono printer that is able to handle paper sizes to a maximum of A4 at 50 pages per minute. It has two standard trays and an automatic duplex printing option. The 100-sheet multipurpose tray can automatically feed special media, including envelopes and labels, while the optional 2,000-sheet feeder tray fits under the printer for increased capacity. A 3,000-sheet paper stacker is also available, and the stapler/stacker provides stapling for up to 50 pages of paper per document.
Design
The HP LaserJet 9050dnm has a duty cycle of up to 300,000 pages per month and an 8-second standby to first page out. The device comes equipped with an embedded webserver, which can be accessed from a computer and provides information such as supplies levels and ordering requirements, tray configuration, email alerts and the printer event log.
Advantages
The control panels of the HP LaserJet 9050dnm include three LED indicator lights, four navigation keys, dedicated help, two job-specific buttons and a graphical display that can handle up to four lines of text. The four special job retention features are available when a hard disc is installed – these are Private Jobs, which can only be printed when a pin is entered after sending the job to the device, and Stored Jobs, which can be sent to the printer and used by anyone and include items such as forms. Also, Quick Copy Jobs enable users to print the required number and store the information to enable others to print later. Proof Hold Jobs allow users to print one copy and check before printing more.
Disadvantages
The HP LaserJet 9050dnm is a useful mono printer with a high-yield duty cycle but is limited to printing in black and white, so it is not suitable for organisations that have more complex printing and copying requirements.
