The Konica Minolta Bizhub-C224e colour multifunction laser printer can print up to A3 size and also incorporates copy, fax, and scan functions. With a range of finishing options and the ability to print banners, this is a versatile machine which will increase workplace efficiency. It is ideal for use in a busy office that is willing to make the significant investment, and with sophisticated security features, even sensitive documents can be printed with confidence. Its vast paper capacity means that even during periods of high-volume printing, minimal downtime is needed for paper changes; however, due to its size, the printer is not suited for use in a small space.

Design

With a free-standing design and dimensions of 615 x 685 x 779 mm, the Konica Minolta Bizhub-C224e is a bulky machine. Print speed is 22 ppm for A4 and 14 ppm for A3, resolution is up to 1800 x 600 dpi, and its monthly duty cycle is 80,000 pages. Paper is stored in two 500-sheet paper trays and a 150-sheet bypass tray with the option to purchase additional trays or paper cabinets. The machine is navigated using a 9-inch colour touch panel.

Advantages

The Konica Minolta Bizhub-C224e is a versatile machine which can be used to print a wide variety of documents, including banners of up to 1.2 m in length. The colour touch panel makes monitoring and navigating the printer operations easy, while the dual scan document feeder scans both sides of documents in one run. There are a range of finishing options, and a smart job queue organises printer tasks for optimum efficiency. Toner save mode can result in significant money saving, and a range of security features allow the printing of confidential documents.

Disadvantages

As a large machine, the Konica Minolta Bizhub-C224e needs a fair amount of space which may make it unsuitable for a small office. Finishing modes are optional extras, so will cost more.
