The Oki MC770dn Fax is a multi-function colour printer, which includes printer, scanner, fax and copier. The quality of the printing is good and fast, though replacement inks are a little on the high side. There is no automatic wireless connection, so if printing wirelessly or from smart devices is required, additional installation and expense will be necessary. This will suit a small to medium-sized business that needs to improve security and efficiently manage printing jobs, without compromising on quality. This printer has a three-year warranty.

Design

The dimensions of the Oki MC770dn Fax are 522mm x 604mm x 675mm. It connects via an Ethernet connection or a USB, with other connections optional. Ink cartridges are accessed under the scanner. The printer is navigated easily using a 23cm colour LCD backlit touchscreen. Print resolution is 2400 dpi, and print speed is 34 ppm for colour printing and 36 ppm for mono. The paper capacity of the input tray is 530 sheets. The monthly duty cycle is 100,000 pages.

Advantages

The Oki MC770dnfax has a straight-through printing function, so pages emerge without bending. The quality of the print is good, and both printing and scanning are achieved at a fast speed. It is possible to save on paper with automatic double-sided printing. Using the high-capacity ink cartridges will save money and help the environment. For added peace of mind, there is a three-year warranty.

Disadvantages

Moving aside the scanner to replace the ink cartridges on the Oki MC770dn Fax can be time-consuming. The cost of ink per page is on the high side for both colour and black prints. The largest size that this device will print is A4. It is not automatically wirelessly connected, which is problematic for those wanting to print over a WiFi connection or from smart devices.
