The Ricoh MP C4504EX is a colour laser multifunction printer that is suitable for small-to-medium offices with medium-to-large volume printing demands. This unit includes printing, copying and scanning functions, and has the option of adding on faxing capability. The printer features a 220-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) to facilitate copying and scanning large reports. It will print on a range of media, including plain paper, cardstock, labels and envelopes, and accepts a wide range of paper sizes, including A3-size paper through the bypass tray. Duplex capability is included as standard to help reduce the amount of paper used for printing. This printer also supports a number of scanning options, including scan to email and scan to folder.

Design

The printer weighs 103 kg and measures 587 x 685 x 963 mm. It has a standard paper capacity of 1,100 sheets, and optional additional input trays can be added to increase the capacity up to 4,700 sheets. The maximum monthly duty cycle is 50,000 pages. The printer features USB and ethernet network connections, in addition to wireless connectivity. The Ricoh C4504EX features 2GB of RAM and a 10.1" intuitive touchscreen control panel that helps keep your productivity high. A number of finishing options can be added on as well.

Advantages

The unit’s flatbed scanner and ADF make copying and scanning documents a breeze. This printer has a warm-up time of less than 27 seconds, while its time to print the first page after warm-up is less than 5.7 seconds. It features a print speed of 30 pages per minute, and its maximum print resolution is 1200x1200 dpi, while its scan resolution is 100 to 600 dpi for both colour and monochrome.

Disadvantages

The Ricoh MP C4504EX may be unnecessary for some smaller businesses and the costs of this model may outweigh the benefits of it.
