A useful no-nonsense monochrome printer, the Samsung ML-2540 is designed for use by small workgroups in environments with a maximum monthly print output of 12,000 pages. The Samsung ML-2540 black and white printer is engineered so that users can print straight from their PC or laptop computer just by pressing send and then collecting the finished documents from the egress. The ML2540 printer’s functional mechanisms enable printing on a wide range of stationery.
Design
Measuring 358 x 197 x 389 millimetres, the Samsung ML-2540 laser printer is not that much bigger than the maximum A4 page size it’s able to accommodate. The ML2540 only weighs 7.2kgs and this presents no problems when moving it around. A covered paper-input cassette keeps dust at bay and is able to hold 250 pages. There’s also a slot for media including glossy photo paper, card and projector transparencies. Control buttons are accessible and located on the top right of the output feed.
Advantages
The Samsung ML-2540 mono laser printer incorporates a USB port to provide hassle-free connections to PCs and 8MB of memory for smooth printing. Print speeds are up to 24 A4 pages per minute, while 1200 x 1200dpi resolutions guarantee printed documents are crisp enough to hand out to even the most important corporate customers. First page output times are just nine seconds when the machine is warm. The ML-2540 laser black and white printer boasts a useful function which gives the capability of producing dual-sided documents manually.
Disadvantages
The Samsung ML 2540 mono printer would be better suited to the 21st century with a display screen and maybe an onboard wireless server card.
