Impressive performance and rapid print speeds make the Samsung ProXpress SL-M3370 a suitable multifunction printer for increasing productivity without compromising operating costs. Though versatile and user-friendly, the device lacks further expandability and a few other features that could affect its efficiency in busier environments.
Design
The large universal frame of the Samsung SL-M3370 measures 16.3 x 16.6 x 17.7 inches and weighs 15.15Kg. It features a 50-sheet automatic document feeder on the flatbed scanner. The standard paper capacity is 250 sheets, but there is also a single sheet manual feeder and a 520-sheet second paper cassette. The output bin can handle 150 sheets face down. The SL-M3370 runs on 256MB of memory, which is upgradeable to 512MB, and powered by a 600MHz processor. Connectivity is through Ethernet and high-speed USB 2.0.
Advantages
The Samsung SLM3370 is an all-in-one device with print, scan, fax, and copy functions, and it prints in speeds of up to 33ppm on A4-sized sheets, or up to 35ppm on letter size paper. Many emulations are supported for versatility and compatibility with many operating systems. Two-sided printing and secure print can be configured easily. The copier has timesaving features like ID copy, autotune, and copy placement. The 1200x1200dpi resolution of the Samsung SL-M3370 produces sharper and crisper text.
Disadvantages
Colour and PC fax are not supported by the ProXpress SL-M3370. Users need to upgrade the device if they want to increase the memory and paper capacity. The Samsung SL-M3370 is heavy and bulky, so it requires careful set-up and more installation space.
