Perfect for larger offices, the Xerox AltaLink C8045 has been designed for workplaces that don’t want to sacrifice on quality just because speed and productivity are of the highest importance. The printer can be used practically right out of the box, and is one of the simplest colour MFPs on the market, thanks to the intuitive design of the touchscreen control panel, which works much like a tablet or smartphone does. Use with Dropbox, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Box or OneDrive, and print from almost anywhere.

Design

Thanks to the scalable nature of the Xerox AltaLink C8000 series, the size and shape of the final product will vary from office to office, depending on needs and preferences. However, the base configuration dimensions are 640 x 173.8 x 1114 mm, with a weight of 151.9 kg. The MFP comes in a subtle colourway of off-white and petrol blue, but the best design feature of this particular MFP is the 10.1 inch colour touchscreen control panel, which comes with a customisable home screen and is simple and easy to use, allowing for better workflow and workplace productivity.

Advantages

The Xerox AltaLink C8045 has a print speed of 45 ppm in both black and white and colour, as well as a first print speed of 5.3 seconds in black and white and 6.5 seconds in colour. There is a monthly print volume of 18,000 pages and a duty cycle of up to 200,000 images per month, while the maximum print resolution is 1200 x 2400 dpi. Xerox ConnectKey technology allows for great wireless connectivity, while NFC means that you can print straight from any NFC-enabled devices. The printer also comes with McAfee installed for security peace of mind, and has a 1.91GHz processor, 250GB hard drive and 8GB of memory.

Disadvantages

The Xerox C8045 is not ideal for smaller businesses and workplaces due to its size and high running costs.
