The Xerox B600 is a compact and feature rich monochrome printer with ConnectKey technology for working on the go from smartphones and tablets. This device is not an office workhorse as it lacks scan, copy, and fax functions, but it should suit home environments and smaller offices where a modern solution with a small footprint, high-quality prints and cloud options are required. The B600 also has an impressive print speed of up to 55 ppm.
Design
The Xerox B6000 is powered by a 1.05 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM memory, so is capable of supporting medium workloads. The cream colour scheme complements a range of decor types, and the design is centred around a small 5-inch touch screen device located at the top near the input tray, which offers a plethora of print options and access to ConnectKey technology and the smart Workplace Assistant. Connectivity is extensive and includes Ethernet, high speed USB 3.0, and NFC.
Advantages
The Xerox VersaLink B600 can output at a maximum print resolution of 1200 x 1200 dpi at a duty cycle of up to 250,000 images every month. This impressive quality is supported by a very quick page output rate and a fast first page out time of just 6.3 seconds. Users can add a high capacity feeder to extend the input capacity to 2,000 sheets and there is a 550-sheet feeder as standard. The Xerox Versalink B600 is a versatile device with many print features, such as booklet creation, print from USB, and secure print. It is also reliable and has multiple finishing and feeding options to suit a variety of workflows.
Disadvantages
The absence of scan, copy, and fax limits its functionality in business work environments where all-in-one solutions are needed to support business tasks. The Xerox VersaLink B600 is also black and white print only.
