Xerox WorkCentre 7655 Printer Review
Expert review of the Xerox WorkCentre 7655 printer
The Xerox WorkCentre 7655 is an ideal multifunction colour printer for businesses that need high-volume, top-quality output. Its impressive approximate monthly duty cycle of 200,000 impressions means that long job runs can be started and finished with less need for intervention and downtime. The maximum copying speeds of up to 55 pages per minute for monochrome and up to 40 pages per minute for colour documents enable printing to be done quickly and efficiently. It has a warm-up time of only 28 seconds and the first-copy-out time for black and white as fast as 5.5 seconds. The maximum printing resolution is 2400 x 2400 dpi for both mono and colour, and it has a maximum document enlargement of 400% and can reduce to as little as 25%.
Design
The Xerox WorkCentre 7655 has dimensions of 51.2 x 34.4 x 57.5 inches and weighs 295.42lbs. The document feeder capacity is 250 sheets, and it can take a variety of media types, including plain paper, film and transparencies. It accepts media of a minimum size of 4 x 6 inches at a minimum weight of 64 g/m² and a maximum of 300 g/m².
Advantages
The Xerox WorkCentre 7655 has the added bonus of being both modular and upgradeable should organisations wish to add to its features. It offers scan to PDF and PC Desktop with a scan compression rate that speeds up delivery and reduces traffic. It is also ENERGY STAR certified.
Disadvantages
The Xerox WorkCentre 7655 is a good workhorse of a printer that will perform well for organisations needing high-volume output. While it can be upgraded, it is not the most recent in the Xerox range at this level, so it will not have the most up-to-date features available on new ranges.
