Designed with large workgroups in mind, the Xerox WorkCentre 7970 A3 colour multifunction printer is a workhorse capable of generating professional documents up to A3+ size. It can print stationery up to 300gsm. An optional finisher provides the resources to create saddle-stitched booklets and stapled handouts. A large paper input capacity ensures users are able to configure the Xerox WorkCentre 7970 colour laser printer to meet their own needs.

Design

The Xerox WorkCentre 7970 printer is sturdy and the basic model weighs 152kgs with external dimensions of 640 x 699 x1,149 millimetres. Ethernet and USB interfaces plus internet fax are standard while a wireless adapter comes as an optional extra. Print speeds for both colour and monochrome A4 prints are up to an awesome 70 pages per minute. The nine-inch operator’s display panel is touchscreen enabled. Standard paper input options are two 520-sheet cassettes, a 2,000-page twin-page feeder, a 100-sheet bypass tray and a 130-sheet auto-feed. The Xerox 7970 colour printer’s standard output trays hold 350 sheets without the addition of the finisher.

Advantages

The large paper handling capacities of the Xerox WorkCentre 7970 multifunction printer in tandem with a fast duplexing unit for dual-side prints are bonuses. A 2,000-page rapid feed is an option that increases input capacity to a total of 5,140 pages. 1200 x 2400dpi resolutions guarantee striking imagery, script and outlines that are a credit to a company’s image. A duty cycle with an upper limit of 300,000 pages a month and state-of-the-art security including McAfee’s finest are the other key attributes of the WorkCentre 7970 laser printer. The replacement Xerox 7970 toner cartridges are perfect for busy offices with high yields of up to 26,000 black pages or 15,000 pages per colour toner.

Disadvantages

Wireless connectivity as standard would do away with the need for an adapter for the Xerox 7970 colour multifunction printer.
