The Samsung SCX-6555NX is a multi-function, mono-laser business printer that allows you to print, scan, copy and fax. The Usain Bolt of the printing world, the SCX-6555NX excels when it comes to print speed – spitting out pages at a whopping 53ppm! The printer also comes with an ADF for super-quick scanning.
Design
The Samsung SCX-6555NX is a free standing device measuring, 642 x 633 x 501mm. The printer features a generous 520 A4 sheet tray, plus an extra 150 sheet multi-purpose tray. At the rear of the printer is the power connection and Ethernet port slots, unfortunately there aren't any additional media ports such as memory card readers.
Advantages
As mentioned earlier, the biggest feature of the Samsung SCX-6555NX is the print speeds. At 53ppm and a warm up speed of under 20 seconds - the SXC-6555NX is perfect for businesses with high print volumes. The intuitive touch screen is another nice benefit, making navigating jobs and functions a breeze, and also helping with those fiddly paper jams. The scanner is impressive producing great quality reproductions. The printer also comes with an ADF – ideal if you need to scan large documents. Paper capacity is great, there's even the option to purchase an additional 2,100 paper cassette holder, taking your capacity to dizzy heights.
Disadvantages
Just like its counterpart the SCX-5835NX, the Samsung SCX-6555NX lacks real modern connectivity, only Ethernet cabling is available. Furthermore print quality isn't the greatest, and lack of colour printing means promotional material will need to be done elsewhere. It seems this is a great office device, but lack of functions means it will need a partner in your busy work place to handle the colour printing side of things.
