The Brother MFC-J5945DW printer model is a multi-use machine that is capable of meeting the needs of any busy home office or workspace. Along with printing, scanning and copying, it can send faxes when required. Featuring a muted grey design and soft lines, this machine will make a subtle addition to any room. To save time, users can print straight from their desktop, smartphone or tablet, as this printer comes complete with a wireless connection. There is an LCD screen for organising the workload, two paper trays to ensure that each run can continue for longer, and automatic duplex printing.

Design

This all-in-one MFC-J5945DW Brother inkjet printer features tank technology, which allows the unit to store larger amounts of ink. This boosts productivity as fewer refills are needed, and also enables the printer to produce professional-quality results for busy home offices and workspaces. It provides a monthly yield of 30,000 pages, and per minute, it will produce 22 mono copies or 20 colour copies on standard speed. On fast speed, this can reach 35 pages per minute in mono and 27 in colour. Out of the box, it measures 545w x 436d x 379h mm, and the total weight is 20.9kg.

Advantages

The USB interface allows users to scan documents to any connected storage devices, while navigation through the various functions can be controlled via the colour 9.3cm touchscreen. Use this to scan directly to cloud apps, or print from them to save time. Despite providing impressive page yields and a low-cost per page, the Brother MFC-J5945DW model creates images and documents at 4800 x 1200 dpi. The finishes include booklet, poster and watermark printing, and the paper gauge provides more control over a large workload.

Disadvantages

This printer is a good solution for offices and homes that need a versatile machine, but the standard print speeds are quite slow.
