Built to cope in the most demanding offices, the Brother MFC-J6947DW inkjet model is a multipurpose machine with printing, scanning and copying functions. It can manage a range of media and paper in sizes up to A3. There are three separate paper feed trays and an LCD interface to make navigating through the various features simple. However, it is still compact enough to be placed on a desk and will not take up huge amounts of space in a smaller work area. Finished in grey, it is an unobtrusive unit and can be run in quiet mode to blend in further.

Design

The multifunction Brother MFC-J6947DW is a medium-sized office printer but can deliver an impressive monthly print volume of up to 30,000 pages. The visual quality is up to 4800 x 1200 dpi, and in terms of speed, users can expect 22 mono and 20 colour copies per minute. Weighing in at 27.9kg, it measures 575w x 477d x 449h mm. When scanning, printing or copying, it is capable of two-sided prints, and the load tray takes 750 sheets, so downtime is minimised.

Advantages

In an office that uses a range of media, the 100-sheet multi-purpose tray enables the use of materials up to 230gsm and colour printing on A3 or A4. Fully equipped with Near-Field Communication, the MFC-J6947DW Brother printer model provides users with the opportunity to print direct from their smart gadget, even if they are in an adjacent room. These functions can be accessed from a full-colour 9.3cm touchscreen interface, and from here, users can also view a page gauge to see how much ink is remaining.

Disadvantages

The colour touchscreen is an excellent edition, but for some users, it may be difficult to use as it is quite small and there are many options to scroll through.
