The Canon Pixma MG5150 packs a good deal of features for its price. It's a good-value all-in-one that guarantees good quality photo and document printing at 9600dpi maximum resolution. It also features a 2400dpi scanner that allows excellent quality mono and colour photocopying. The Canon Pixma MG5150 boasts excellent standalone features, thanks to its slick control system, enhanced by a 6cm colour LCD. Perhaps the only problem with the MG5150 is that it doesn't support Wi-Fi connectivity, and is a bit slower than other versions.
Design
The Canon Pixma MG5150 looks like most of the other models from Canon with its glossy black finish. It features the same five-ink system and has a flatbed scanner right on top. The intuitive control system with a sleek button layout plus the 4-way navigation pad and control wheel makes it easy to use. The menu is displayed on a colour LCD. The Canon Pixma MG5150 allows direct printing from USB flash drives and memory cards.
Advantages
You can look forward to smart additions, including easy-to-use software for capturing HD movie clips from videos taken using Canon cameras. The Canon Pixma MG5150 also boasts stand-alone printing, allows auto duplex printing, and boasts other software inclusions such as Auto Photo Fix II, which makes red-eye removal and auto enhancements a lot easier. Top notch document printing and high resolution photo outputs are guaranteed at incredible print speeds of up to 39 seconds for 10x15 photos.
Disadvantages
The Canon Pixma MG5150 still doesn't have Wi-Fi connectivity and direct CD or DVD printing capabilities. Don't' expect running costs to be as low as those of older generation Canon printers.
