Our Verdict:

The Canon Pixma TS6250 is a multifunction printer which can print in colour, copy and scan. It is a good all-round printer which will streamline printing in your home or home office. With a choice of connectivity options, household members will be able to produce superior results from the device of their choice. However, be aware that this superior quality does come at a price with a five ink system being more expensive than the standard four. The main drawback to this printer is that it is noisy when operating.

Design

The Canon Pixma TS6250 measures 315 x 139 x 372 mm and has a sleek black casing. There are two paper trays, a 100-sheet tray for paper and a 20-sheet tray for photographic paper. On the front of the printer there is a control panel which includes a 7.5 cm LCD colour touch screen. Print speeds are 15 ppm for monochrome printing and 10 ppm for colour documents. Printing resolution is 4800x1200 dpi. Connection is achieved using a USB interface or with one of the wireless options.

Advantages

Wireless printing is easy on the Canon Pixma TS6250 with options including the Canon PRINT app, a cloud link to One Drive, Dropbox and Google Drive, directly from smart devices and Wi-Fi Direct. The five ink system includes pigment black to ensure particularly clear text and high definition colour. There are two paper trays including a 20-sheet photographic paper tray, allowing you to switch effortlessly between media. Setup of the printer is easy and the compact size allows you to easily locate the printer on a shelf or desktop. Duplex printing comes as standard.

Disadvantages

Although improving the quality, the five-ink system of the Canon Pixma TS6250 does make this printer more expensive to run. The noise levels of the printer are loud, so may result in some distraction.
