The Canon Pixma TS9550 is a colour inkjet multifunction printer that is designed for home offices and home crafters with small-to-medium-volume printing demands. The TS9550 has a black finish but is otherwise identical to the TS9551C, which has a white finish. The printer uses a black, a pigment black, a cyan, a magenta and a yellow ink tank. Canon’s FINE printhead technology combines these five inks to create highly detailed photos. This unit includes printing, copying and scanning functions. The printer features a 20-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) to facilitate copying. It will print on a range of media, including plain paper, cardstock, labels and envelopes. The printer accepts a wide range of paper sizes, including A3/ledger. A duplex capability is built in to let you use less paper for print runs, however the printing speeds are a big downside to this printer.

Design

The unit weighs 9.7kg and measures 468 x 366 x 193mm. The printer has a front and a rear paper input tray with a capacity of 100 sheets each. The Canon Pixma TS9550 features USB, Ethernet and Wi-Fi network connections. The printer also features an intuitive 10.8cm touchscreen control panel that helps keep productivity high. It features 45 built-in patterns for creating wrapping paper, scrapbooks and other crafts projects.

Advantages

The unit’s flatbed scanner and ADF make copying and scanning documents a breeze. Print and copy resolution is up to 4800 x 1200 dpi, and colour and monochrome scan resolution is 1200 x 2400 dpi.
