The Epson WF-C5790DWF Printer is ideal for any business environment, whether big or small. This small, workgroup multifunction device will help increase productivity, cut costs and reduce downtime. It can also help decrease an organisation's environmental impact and improve its CSR reputation, using approximately 90% less energy than comparable laser models. It is capable of handling a wide range of media from C4 envelopes to A4, and has two input trays totalling 330 pages. This means it will require less user intervention to change paper, and therefore minimise downtime.

Design

This Epson WF-C5790DWF Printer model has a height, width and depth of 25 x 535 x 357 mm and weighs 18.4 kg. The first page out in monochrome takes five seconds and in colour, it takes six seconds, with a printing speed of 24 pages per minute in both. The recommended duty cycle is between 250 and 2,500 per month, but it can go up to its maximum of 45,000 per month.

Advantages

The Epson WF-C5790DWF Printer has output speeds of up to 34 pages per minute in both monochrome and colour and is capable of a print output at 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution. This model can help businesses save at least 50% on their colour cost per page when compared to similar lasers. Specifically designed for use by workgroups, it enables businesses to avoid hidden costs associated with centralised printing, with the bonus of an innovative ink supply system, which means consumables are changed less often.

Disadvantages

While this Epson WF-C5790DWF Printer model has low running costs and good all-round performance, it is pricey for what it does. Ink prices have been falling and therefore the running costs of the WorkForce range aren't as competitive as they were when compared to office inkjets. If you don't need PostScript 3 Support, you can choose an equivalent printer without it that's cheaper to run.
