Our Verdict:

The 44-in HP PostScript DesignJet Z6 printer model is ideal for printing high definition, high quality photographic and fine art prints onto a range of media, plus POS and graphics on banner, bond, self-adhesive and coated or backlit medias between 80 to 500 g/m2. It can be used for short-term outdoor products with fade- and water-resistant prints, and the 6-colour ink system with the Z6 unique HP Pixel Control and HP print heads with dual drop technology means using light-coloured inks is not necessary. Suitable for design, retail, print services and GIS, it produces excellent image quality speedily with its easy-to use tools.

Design

The DesignJet HP Z6-44 model has a print speed of 80.5 m2/hr and a best colour print quality of up to 2,400 x 1,200 optimized dpi. The finished output handling comprises a roll feed, top sheet feed, media output bin and automatic horizontal cutter. The non-printable area (cut-sheet) is 5 x 17 x 5 x 5mm, and the guaranteed minimum line width is 0.08mm (ISO/IEC 13660:2001(E)).

Advantages

Disadvantages

The DesignJet Z6 HP inkjet printer is designed for Geographical Information Systems (GIS) users and creators as well as those who require water- and fade-resistant large-format prints and therefore is not suitable for general office or home use.
