The HP Deskjet 2542 is an affordable all-in-one printer with wireless printing capability. It is ideal for entry-level and home users because it is easy to use and set up. Options like XL ink cartridges can make the device cheaper to run, while versatility enables printing on a wider variety of media types, but the device needs a more intuitive paper sensor and it doesn't have the best print quality for photos.

Design

The HP Deskjet 2542 looks clean and minimalist, with a space-saving design that allows it to be placed on an office desktop or computer table without taking up much room. It has a built-in copier and scanner, and wireless LAN. There is a 60-sheet input tray and a 25-sheet output tray.

Advantages

This device prints, scans, and copies. It is compatible with newer operating systems, including Windows 8 and Mac OS X 10.6. The HP Deskjet 2542 has a compact design, making it suitable for small and home offices. The print speeds range from 20ppm in monochrome and 16ppm in colour. Built-in wireless connectivity simplifies direct printing from smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other computers in its vicinity.
