The HP Officejet 4632 is a multifunction device capable of supporting the needs of a home office environment. It does guzzle colour and black ink rather quickly, but print quality is decent, and there is a range of wireless options for print, scan, and copy tasks from smartphones. Borderless printing also gives documents a premium, polished finish.

Design

The HP Officejet 4632 measures 445 x 334 x 177.8 mm and weighs 6.22 kg. The HP thermal inkjet technology can produce a maximum print resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi and 1200 x 600 dpi for colour and monochrome, respectively, while ppm speeds top out at 17 for colour. The flatbed copier has a maximum resolution of 600 x 600 dpi at speeds of 4 cpm (colour) and 6 cpm (black). There is a 100-sheet input tray and support for wireless print technology including Apple AirPrint. The 4632 is energy star rated and offers automatic two-sided printing to reduce costs.

Advantages

The HP Officejet 4632 is an excellent all-round multifunction printer with a low price point, compact design, and reliable and consistent output. Graphics and text on print and copies are clear and detailed. The inclusion of fax as standard is also welcomed, as are the variety of wireless printing options. It is simple to install and setup and downloaded business apps can add convenience and serve up useful content.

Disadvantages

The HP Officejet 4632 is not the most environmentally friendly model available as it goes through colour ink cartridges very quickly. The max colour print speed of 17 ppm is rather slow, and it lacks both an Ethernet connection and USB connectivity. It is also prone to jamming, while its tiny LCD screen can be fiddly to operate.
