The HP Officejet 5515 is a powerful multifunction colour printer, an all-in-one unit that provides the small office user with copying, faxing, scanning and printing capabilities all in one device. With a relatively quick print speed and high quality print resolution, this is a professional machine that will also find many uses in the home. It can be easily connected to other devices in the office and once the software provided has been downloaded, the machine can be up and running in no time at all. It also has a classic shape and its smooth lines and low noise output ensure that it complements other office furniture as a quiet and efficient workhorse.

Design

With a weight of 11.68 lb and dimensions of 17.7 x 11.4 x 9.1 in, the HP Officejet 5515 is a well-built and compact piece of kit that can be relied on to do its job well and unobtrusively. Maximum copy speed is 17 ppm for monochrome and 12 ppm for colour, with copy resolution of up to 1200x1200 dpi. Print resolution is up to 4800x1200 dpi for colour with a print speed of up to 17 ppm, and the scanning optical resolution is 600x2400 dpi. The fax facility features one-touch dialling and speed dialling is also available. The unit can be connected to a PC via the USB port, and the automatic document feeder capacity is 20 sheets.

Advantages

The HP Officejet 5515 has impressive speeds and resolutions for its affordable price, and the virtue of combining multiple essential office functions into the one affordable unit helps to save on space and expense.

Disadvantages

The display unit is on the small side and can be a problem reading in low light, and the limited connectivity via only a USB port may present problems for some users. The automatic document feeder capacity of just 20 sheets also seems unduly restrictive.
