This all-in-one device features a copier and a scanner built around an inkjet printer. The HP PSC 1100 is perfect for stylish homes and small offices, but it has compatibility issues with newer operating systems. Speed is still poor, even in 'fast draft' mode.

Design

The HP PSC 1100 is a multifunction printer with a simple and sleek design. It features a 600 dpi flatbed scanner, and the resolution can be digitally enhanced to 19200 dpi for more vivid output. The duty cycle is quite few at 1000 pages compared with other HP multifunction printers. At 4.9 Kg, the printer is quite heavy, but it is rather compact at only 10.2 inches in diameter.

Advantages

The HP PSC 1100 can accommodate different kinds of media, from standard plain paper to speciality paper like envelopes, transparencies, labels, and cards. The copier is superior, and the software that comes with the PSC 1100 bundle is easy to use.

Disadvantages

Many users experience compatibility issues with Windows 7 and higher versions of Apple Mac operating systems. You may need to search online for available drivers if you want to use the HP PSC 1100. Connectivity is limited to USB, which makes this printer outdated for wireless devices. The HP PSC 1100 is also slow, with only 8MB of RAM.
