Expect vibrant photos and professional documents with the HP PSC 1216. This reliable all-in-one printer has a monthly duty cycle of 1000 pages and uses the revolutionary HP PhotoREt III colour layering technology for photo printing. It doesn't have a fax and is not the fastest in the market, but for average users, it is good enough for its price.

Design

The HP PSC 1216 has a maximum scanning resolution of 19200 dpi and a maximum printing resolution is 1200 x 1200 dpi. This small and boxy printer has a flatbed scanner on top and features an organised control panel with easy-to-use buttons. The paper tray has a maximum input capacity of 100 sheets.

Advantages

You can use the HP PSC 1216 for copying with the convenient fit-to-screen button even without computer. This printer delivers high-quality photos – an impressive feat for its small size and price tag. Running cost is low, and so is energy consumption as well as the price of replacement inks. When there is a problem with the paper or cartridge, the HP PSC 1216 warns you right away via the indicators on the control panel.

Disadvantages

This all-in-one printer lacks a fax feature. When compared to other all-in-one printers, it may seem outdated because it does not have an LCD display, memory card readers, or a PictBridge. The HP PSC 1216 also has a sleep-inducing print speed, especially when printing coloured photos at best mode.
