HP PSC 1350xi Printer Review
Expert review of the HP PSC 1350xi printer
The HP PSC 1350xi is another great model in HP's PSC 1350 series, offering top quality text and photo prints plus the versatility of a copier and scanner. The machine comes with a good deal of software to complement its print, copy, and scan functions. However, the HP PSC 1350xi is quite slow especially when scanning. Its print speeds are not as impressive as other all-in-ones in the same range.
Design
The HP PSC 1350xi is configured just like any other multifunction from HP, with the scanner and copier right on top of the unit. It does away with an LCD-equipped control panel and utilises simple buttons for activating basic functions. The HP PSC 1350xi also features several memory card slots for reading various digital camera sticks.
Advantages
The HP PSC 1350xi comes with a hefty software package, including photo enhancing applications and other programs for better scanning, copying, and printing. The machine can also scan without a computer and supports a good range of paper and other printing media. Photo prints have exceptional detail.
Disadvantages
The HP PSC 1350xi is not the fastest machine in the market, especially when compared with other multifunctions in its range. Not only does this device scan slow – it also prints only 1.4 text pages per minute (in 'best' mode) and is easily trumped by even lower-end, single-function ink jets when it comes to speed.
