A mid-range all-in-one, the HP PSC 2115 functions as a copier, scanner, and printer designed to satisfy the requirements of average homes and small offices. It is a reliable photo printer that can be used with a special photo ink that converts the unit into a 6-ink printing machine. Text prints are crisp and sharp, thanks to the high-yield and high-capacity black tank. The HP PSC 2115, however, does not have a fax function, which means it might not be the best choice for busier office settings.
Design
The HP PSC 2115 looks like the other models in the same series. Its flatbed scanner boasts a maximum resolution of up to 1200x2400 dpi and has a 24-bit internal colour depth. The scanner doubles as a digital copier, too. This device has 2 ink cartridge slots – one for black and another for a tri-colour tank. The black tank can also be substituted with a photographic tri-colour cartridge when printing pictures.
Advantages
The HP PSC 2115 can produce up to 16ppm in black and 12ppm in colour. Prints can also reach a maximum resolution of 1200x4800 dpi. The HP PSC 2115 connects to PC via high-speed USB and features a small LCD screen for accessing basic functions. The machine also uses ink economically.
Disadvantages
The HP PSC 2115 is a decent all-in-one, but it lacks diverse connectivity options and is not equipped with fax.
