The HP PSC 2150 is aimed at small offices and users seeking a multifunction printer for scanning and copying documents. It promises to be a more user-friendly and speedier option than its predecessors, but it still suffers from common problems like sluggish print speed and incompatibility with newer operating systems.

Design

The sleek and simple HP PSC 2150 is about 7.82 kg, which makes it quite heavy compared to similar models. However, its small footprint (37 cm in diameter, 46.3cm wide, and 22 cm tall) makes it one of the most compact multifunction devices around. The scanner and copier are built around the ink-jet colour printer, with the simple control panel dominating the top right side of the machine. The of the HP PSC 2150's display screen is small, though.

Advantages

In 'fast' mode, the HP PSC 2150 can produce up to 10 ppm in colour and 14 ppm in black. The compact body lets you place it on a desk or in shelf with limited space. The scanner can be optimised up to 19200x19200, which promises better quality and more vivid pictures and crisp document scans.

Disadvantages

When in 'everyday' mode, the HP PSC 2150 can only produce 7 ppm in black and up to 5 ppm in colour. It slows down even more in 'best' mode, dropping to 2 ppm in black and only half a page per minute in colour. Many users complain that the HP PSC 2150 is not user-friendly.
