HP PSC 2210v Printer Review
Expert review of the HP PSC 2210v printer
The all-in-one HP PSC 2210v does not only print high quality coloured photos and documents but also scans, faxes, and copies. It can print with or without a PC and is very easy to use. It has a monthly duty cycle of 3,000 impressions and a speed of 17 ppm.
Design
Being an older model, the HP PSC 2210v is bulky and not the most stylish. The memory card slots are located beside the input and output tray while the control panel for the scanner and fax machine is beside the scanning bed.
Advantages
This user-friendly workhorse is primarily a document printer but is also suitable for printing photos as it uses PhotoREt III and PhotoREt IV printing technology. It has 4 memory card slots plus an optional ink cartridge for printing high-quality images, which come out realistic and vibrant.
Disadvantages
The HP PSC 2210v lacks several essential features, including a duplexer for 2-sided printing, a high capacity paper tray, and an ADF. It is not network ready, so it is not ideal for offices with multiple computers. Compared to its successors, the HP PSC 2210v is slow. It is an older model, so availability of consumables and replacement parts may become an issue.
