The HP PSC 2510 uses Cartridge Save 56 ink cartridges. Cartridge Save 56 ink comes in black; the black cartridge prints 520 pages.
The HP PSC 2510 is a more advanced multifunction device because of its wireless networking capabilities, and can produce high-quality text and/or photo prints. However, it is quite expensive. Print speed is still slow compared to similar devices from other manufacturers.
The sleek printer's flatbed scanner and copier are on the topmost part of the 19-inch wide body, right next to the control panel. The HP PSC 2510 features a flip-up 2.5-inch colour LCD screen that lets you preview documents when loading them directly from a memory card before you print them. Located on the bottom right side are 4 memory card slots. The HP PSC 2510 can support 6 types of flash memory, including memory stick, xD-picture card and multimedia card. It still uses the flimsily-designed paper feeder and paper tray, which dominates the front central area of the HP PSC 2510. This printer is also Wi-Fi ready so you can print wirelessly from a mobile device.
Some of the perks of the HP PSC 2510 include standalone fax and printing capabilities without a PC. It has fast copying speeds of up to 21 ppm in black and 14 ppm in colour. The printer is integrated with the 7-ink system for more true-to-life graphics and borderless printing capabilities. The scanner lid can be removed to accommodate thicker items (like books and magazines), and the copy function requires only 2 buttons to work. The 'draft' mode of the HP PSC 2510 still produces decent text prints.
This model is expensive, so you might want to look for a cheaper and speedier multifunction printer with the same specs from another brand. Some users also reported having problems with the slow and inefficient software that comes with the HP PSC 2510, as well as very slow scan speed.
