Ideal for home or student use, the HP Photosmart 5524 is an all-in-one inkjet printer that can also copy and scan. This unit can deliver photos and other coloured images and graphics with a maximum resolution of 4,800 x 1,200 dpi. It also offers professional quality text documents and copies. The Photosmart 5524 inkjet printer comes with built-in Wi-Fi making it easy to print from anywhere. It is also ePrint and AirPrint compatible. The HP Photosmart 5524 printer does not have an ADF and lacks a PictBridge port.

Design

The Hewlett Packard 5524 Photosmart printer features a large touchscreen panel with coloured LCD display. Memory card slots and a USB port for connectivity are provided. The HP Photosmart 5524 e-All-in-One measures 425 x 444 x 325 mm and weighs only 5.05 kg. It can handle 80 sheets in total.

Advantages

This unit is reliable and can handle a wide range of media. The Photosmart 5524 colour inkjet has handy memory card slots for easy printing of photos plus a user-friendly control panel that allows easy preview and selection of files. With the HP Photosmart 5524’s built-in Wi-Fi, users can easily share the unit or print directly from other Wi-Fi enabled devices such as mobile phones or tablets.

Disadvantages

A PictBridge port for direct printing from digital cameras as well as an automatic document feeder and Ethernet connectivity are not offered. The HP Photosmart 5524 All-in-One inkjet has slow print speeds of 11 ppm in monochrome and 8 ppm in colour.
