The Lexmark 2580 is a compact and reliable forms printer ideal for offices in need of a dedicated printer for printing narrow 6 part forms. The device is very compact at 7.7x19.4x11.4 inches, ideal for sharing a desktop with a basic computer setup. It is equipped with energy saving features and uses a front tractor feeder, which allows for efficient paper handling. The Lexmark 2580 black and white dot-matrix printer is a versatile device that is compatible with various Windows and Linux operating systems, and it connects via USB and parallel interface, for convenient installation. However, the 2580 printer is a task-specific unit, useful only for forms printing.

Design

The Lexmark forms printer 2580 is compact and basic. It is also portable, weighing only 17.6 pounds. It uses 9-pin dot matrix print technology, which produces maximum resolutions up to 240x144 dpi. The Lexmark 2580 dot-matrix printer has a 512 KB internal memory, which is large enough for large print demands.
