A reasonably priced fax machine with a small-enough footprint to easily fit into a compact home office or home, the Panasonic KX-FC266 is easy to use and has some good features, although there are also some irritating design flaws in the base unit.
Design
The Panasonic KX-FC266 A4 Mono Thermal Fax Machine is a stylish, compact fax machine that is compatible with small homes and offices. The fax machine has a pleasant curved design with large keys that makes it easy to type commands. It takes up to 20 sheets and comes with a ten-sheet document reader. The Panasonic FC266 has handy features such as sorting, enlarging and reducing up to 30 pages. The transmission speed for faxes is 12 seconds per page. The Panasonic KX-FC266 can answer all calls and has a built-in answering machine that will record messages. The digital system enables it to operate instantaneously and silently. It has two high-end DECT phones with hands-free operation. Digital compression technology is used to reduce drop-out, echo or clipping for natural two-way conversations on the digital speakerphone. The handsets have their own charging stations, so the fax machine can sit in the study and the handsets can be used to forward incoming faxes or internal communications. You can use up to four additional handsets.
