Built-in label templates, five favourite keys and versatile label printing are some of the best features of the Brother P-Touch PT-1830VP electronic labelling machine. The PT1830 VP desktop labeller can produce high quality labels for many office applications. It supports a wide range of label tapes, but it can only print in a single font and lacks a more reliable power source.

Design

The Brother PT-1830VP desktop label printer has a sleek and robust frame with a small footprint, so it doesn't take up much space on a standard office desk. It uses thermal transfer tape technology. The Brother PT1830VP printer comes with a manual cutter. There’s a one-line, 15-character LCD display screen and a neat QWERTY keyboard.

Advantages

The P-Touch 1830VP labeller is compatible with the TZ series of laminated tapes that are up to 18mm wide and it can print on narrow non-laminated tapes for CD spines. The Brother PT-1830VP desktop electronic labelling system can print nine type styles and four type sizes from a QWERTY keyboard. There are label templates for fast and easy labelling of audio tapes, VHS and CDs. Up to five commonly used phrases can be stored into the Brother PT 1830VP label maker machine and they can be printed with the touch of a button.

Disadvantages

The Brother PT-1830VP desktop labelling machine requires six AA batteries to run, and users need a separate adapter for it. Helsinki is the only font that the Brother P-Touch PT1830VP label printer can support. It doesn’t have label length setting or multi-blocking and is unable to print barcodes.
